greenwheel - Snow Jam Buffalo NY July 20, 2002

Greenwheel and Injected heat up the stage during the Canadian Molson Ice Snow Jam, on July 20. Injected played a surprisingly early set, finishing before we had a chance to make it to the venue. Regretfully missing their set, a fan told us "that they were awesome and put on a good show."

The heat and humidity was high, and the sun was beginning to set as Greenwheel hit the stage. They instantaneously attracted the crowd’s attention, pulling people from the other events that were taking place in the venue. Even though they were playing with unfamiliar territory (borrowed equipment courtesy of injected), Greenwheel still rocked the Snow Jam into a frenzy, feeding off the energy of the eager new spectators and devoted Greenwheel fans. Their performance was amazing as they interacted with the audience, personalizing the set as lead vocals Ryan Jordan roamed all over the stage, getting immersed into his performance. Even though the crowd was small, they gave their all, playing as if the venue was a sold out show.

Their half hour set was comprised of songs such as: Identity, Faces, Shelter, strong, and their new single Breath, which are featured on their debut album Soma Holiday. Their sound of modern rock with more melodic riffs, mix well with lyrics that hit home and anyone can relate to.

After performing, the Greenwheel gang went out and mingled with fans, signing autographs, and posing for photographs proving that they are not only great musicians, but they are down to earth and appreciate their fans. Greenwheel are currently on tour with Our Lady Peace and Audiovent,  I strongly recommend checking them out when they come rolling into a town near you.
