Dare Devil The Album

by Rebecca Clark

The Dare Devil Soundtrack is defiantly a CD worth picking up. The 20 song CD is packed full of new modern rock tracks from artists such as Fuel, Chevelle, Seether, and Hoobastank. There also new tracks from new rock artists that also stand out and really give the album the worthiness of listening. Revis’ “Caught In The Rain,” Finger 11 “Sad Exchange,” Evanescence “Bring me To Life,” and Boy Sets Fire “High Wire Escape.”

Out of all 20 songs 15 of them are awesome and deserve a good listen, while some of the weaker tracks on the album such as Moby’s “Evening Again” and the Drowning Pool featuring Rob Zombie “The Man without Fear” were disappointments and do not stand out like the rest of the songs. I am not a huge fan of The Calling, but their song “For You” actually isn’t bad. It has more of a heavier sound than their usual pop rock and shows the potential they have to be a really good modern rock band.

Another nice surprise on the album was 12 Stones “Let Go.” 12 Stones have a very delightful melodic rock sound and “Let Go” has an easy going flow and the vocals are very well sung and composed.

Overall this album is a great one to pick up. It is a nice collection of new rock artist mixed with a few new songs by well-known rock artists. The techno/rap songs that are on the album do not flow very well on the album and are the weaker tracks.
